At Higher Risk
• People older than 60, especially those with a history of bowel disease.
• People with changes in the small intestine acidity, rapid transit and nitrosamine exposure.
• Those with inherited gastrointestinal disorders—Peutz-Jeghers syndrome, familial polyposis , inflammatory
  bowel disease, Crohn's disease and neurofibromatosis.
• Those with increased lymphoid deposits in the ileum and immune deficiency diseases are at a higher risk for
  lymphomas.
• A history of or the presence of a Helicobacter pylori infection may lead to small bowel inflammation that may
  lead to the initiation of a lymphoma.
