- • People older than 60, especially those with a history of bowel disease.
- • People with changes in the small intestine acidity, rapid transit and nitrosamine exposure.
- • Those with inherited gastrointestinal disorders—Peutz-Jeghers syndrome, familial polyposis , inflammatory
- bowel disease, Crohn's disease and neurofibromatosis.
- • Those with increased lymphoid deposits in the ileum and immune deficiency diseases are at a higher risk for
- lymphomas.
- • A history of or the presence of a Helicobacter pylori infection may lead to small bowel inflammation that may
- lead to the initiation of a lymphoma.
